Florida Riverkeeper Sounds Off on Tri-State Water War

(WABE) - The billion gallons of water released daily from Lake Lanier by the Army Corps of Engineers serves a number of purposes. Among them are: sustaining two species of endangered mussels in Florida's Apalachicola River.
WABE's Morning Edition Host spoke with Dan Tonsmire from the Apalachicola Riverkeeper an environmental advocacy group to get his take on the Southeast's water shortage crisis.
He began by talking about what's at stake for that part of Florida.
