In anticipation of Halloween Radio Gallery revisits an interview with Richard Rosvall, a local steam punk artist, to discuss what steam punk is, how he began working in the genre of steam punk, and how Halloween has inspired his work. Radio Gallery This week Radio Gallery looks back at an interview with Richard Rosvall. Much of his work has surrounded he Halloween season, and we discuss his contribution to steam punk art, and steam punk events in Duluth. Rosvall first began working in this genre because his son wanted to make a steam punk costume for Halloween. He found he had "so much with with that genre" and continued to be inspired by the genre. He talks about the process of working with leather, such as vegetable-tanned leather, in order to mold and shape it.

Rovall describes steam punk as "victorian aged science fiction". It consists of attire and accessories that represent an alternative history where steam is still the main source of power.

Listen to Radio Gallery to hear more from Rosvall, and the enchanting world of steam punk.
