People in Cincinnati packed a public forum to plead with local officials to keep two YMCAs open, despite a lack of funding.Residents offered to help revive the Ys if officials keep them open. They worry the closures will cut off recreation, wellness, and physical fitness opportunities and lead to more crime.
President Sandy Berlin Walker of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati says both locations continue to lose members and money.
