Swine Flu in Montgomery County Linked to Case in Clark

The first confirmed case of swine flu in Montgomery County has been linked to a case in Clark County.
This week Montgomery County confirmed its first case of the H1N1 flu. A 16 year old boy is recovering at home. He was exposed to the flu when attending a church sponsored field trip. A 15 year old girl from Clark County who was also on the trip later developed the disease.
Health officials from Clark and Montgomery Counties have interviewed all of the people who attended the trip. The two counties say they are working closely together to monitor the situation.
This is the first case of swine flu in Montgomery County. Currently Clark County has 6 confirmed cases of H1N1 and one newly suspected case awaiting lab results. © Copyright 2009, WYSO
