This week's edition begins with the second installment of SOCHE TALKS - a collaboration with the Southwest Ohio Council for Higher Education. In this monthly series we'll hear from faculty and staff from areas colleges and universities on a wide variety of subjects. Everything from the miracle of algae to teaching Chinese to American students. It's An effort to bring Miami Valley research and thinking into the public arena – a way to enlighten the world with local knowledge. This week, we present Chris Burns-Dibiasio - Director of Community Relations at Wilmington College - Today she talks about Wilmington's Grow Food Grow Hope Project. Also available here.
In Miami Valley StoryCorps, Rani Deighe Crowe and Anne Branning of Yellow Springs are old friends. They came to Storycorp to have one of their last face-to-face conversations. Just days later, Anne moved to New York. Rani interviewed Anne about her childhood, and her mother - who passed away when Anne was fourteen years old. Also available here.
In this week's installment of PoliticsOhio, Emily McCord speaks to Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler. On the heels of a very eventful day at the Statehouse, Kasler discusses how Ohio compares to Wisconsin, which is also in the midst of a battle on collective bargaining.
