Heroes Welcoming Heroes, Free Shakespeare, Rock-n-roll Playdate, and Ryan White Program Cuts WYSO Weekend 7-18-2010 In this July 18th edition of WYSO Weekend we are introduced to Senior Airmen Tre Porfirio who last week received a Purple Heart. On Nov. 21 2009 Airmen Porfirio was shot 3 times by Afghan insurgents. He received his Purple Heart during Heroes Welcoming Heroes, a ceremony celebrating not only those who sacrifice their lives overseas, but their families who also make sacrifices at home. Jerry Kenney interviews the actors and director of Free Shakespeare!, a new theatre project bringing "high brow" theatre to the "high rise" landscape of the city. Free Shakespeare! will be performing the tragic Hamlet every weekend from now until their final performance on August 8th in various outdoor venues.
