Be fire safe this 4th of July ESCANABA, MI (wnmu) - The Hiawatha National Forest is reminding visitors to be careful with fire over the Independence Day holiday. Fireworks are not allowed on National Forest lands at any time. Officials say campfires should be attended at all times, and should be extinguished "dead out" when visitors leave.
