Also in celebration of the anniversary, the Aquarium will be hosting a special lecture as part of the Marjorie Lynn Banks Lecture Series entitled “The Battle of Baltimore: How Our Harbor Helped Define America” on September 10, 2014. The event will feature an expert panel of historians and authors discussing the significance of the Inner Harbor in United States history. Tickets are available online at aqua.org/lecture.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s vessel, NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer, will be docked on Pier 4 from September 10-16 and will be open to visitors.
