Vice President Reportedly to Campaign For Randy Kuhl
Invitations from Kuhl's re-election campaign invite local Republicans to a thousand-dollar-a-plate fundraising dinner with the Vice President on Friday, September 22nd.
A source confirms that the Kuhl campaign has talked with Cheney's staff. But Kuhl spokesman Bob Van Wicklin said he couldn't comment on the invitations and referred questions to the Vice President's office.
Kuhl is a first term Republican in a tough re-election battle with Democrat Eric Massa of Corning for the 29th District. The district runs from southern Monroe County south to the Pennsylvania line.
Kuhl has been a supporter of President George W. Bush, and Bush came at his invitation to a town meeting in Canandaigua earlier this year.
Massa called the Cheney event a "midnight secret dark-of-evening fundraiser" and a "thousand dollar a head photo op."
