Record Gift for the University of Rochester
Edmund Hajim, a 1958 graduate of the School of Engineering, has made a $30 million commitment. He says the gift is about education.
Hajim's gift has been designated to the university's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. It will be used to help provide scholarships for needy students, as well as being applied to the university's endowment.
Hajim has been a highly successful investment manager, and serves as chairman of the university's Board of Trustees.

University of Rochester President Joel Seligman has announced the largest single gift in the 158 year history of the university.Edmund Hajim, a 1958 graduate of the School of Engineering, has made a $30 million commitment. He says the gift is about education.
