Sale of Historical Society Mansion Approved
Robert and Amy Tait of Brighton will buy the building, known as Woodside, for 450-thousand dollars. The Taits plan to restore the building as a private residence, and the Society will move its artifacts and documents downtown to the Rundell Library building.
Board President Rebecca Edwards says the mansion will be restored to its original look and use, and the historical collections will get better care and easier community access than on East Avenue.
