NY 29 - Kuhl Releases Health Care Agenda
(2008-09-09)
(WXXI) - Republican Randy Kuhl released his health care plan Tuesday.

Kuhl is running for re-election to Congress from the 29th district. Kuhl says there are an estimated 47 million Americans without health insurance. And he says health care costs are skyrocketing faster than inflation.

Kuhl says people should be allowed to enroll in health plans available to other states. Kuhl also: favors portability -- which would permit workers to take their insurance with them when they change jobs; thinks the prevention of diseases that are influenced by lifestyles should be a national priority; believes people should be allowed to enroll in health plans available to other states; and says patients should be able to choose their physicians and treatment options.

Kuhl would lower health care costs by reforming medical liability laws to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.
