Feds Rip Up Pot Farms in Western Monroe County
(2008-08-29)
(WXXI) - Federal authorities pulled up marijuana plants from three fields in the Towns of Parma and Greece on Thursday -- after they were spotted from a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter.

State Police are investigating, but no charges have been filed so far.

The Border Patrol says more than 80 plants were ripped up -- some from along Route 18 near the Village of Hilton. The drugs were valued at 147-thousand dollars.

The marijuana was turned over to State Police to be incinerated.
