Laser Operation to Resume at U of R
(2008-08-27)
(WXXI) - The University of Rochester's Laser Energetics Laboratory is about to resume operations after a three-week safety review that began when a lab worker was injured.

A mounting bracket failed on August seventh, and a piece of lab equipment fell on an employee standing beneath it.

Lab Director Robert McCrory says about 300 employees spent more than 35-thousand staff hours inspecting the lab's equipment and reviewing safety rules. McCrory says they're confident the chance of a similar accident has been reduced as far as possible
