Local 5th and 6th graders evoke the passion of activitist Frederick Douglass ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - Even though 19th century activist and writer Frederick Douglass spent his most productive years in Rochester, there's scant physical evidence of his life here. His house on South Avenue has long since burned down, the site smothered by a school parking lot.
