Maloney Concedes in Greece
"We're able to shine a spotlight on some of the failings of this administration ... they say they're not a rubber stamp board. Well, we elected them. We own the town - the citizens of Greece, and we're going to hold them accountable, each and every month. We're not going to wait every two years, or four years, for an election cycle."
Maloney says he's "keeping his options open going forward" when it comes to running for office again.
Tuesday's election saw the defeat of Democratic supervisors in Irondequoit and Mendon, but Maloney refused to concede that night, saying it was too close to call.
Friday he acknowledged that the gap between him and incumbent John Auberger was larger than the number of absentee and provisional ballots.

(WXXI) -
Democrat Dan Maloney says he's conceded in the race for Greece supervisor. But he says he's still proud of the race he ran - and the showing that Democrats made in a town that's traditionally dominated by Republicans."We're able to shine a spotlight on some of the failings of this administration ... they say they're not a rubber stamp board. Well, we elected them. We own the town - the citizens of Greece, and we're going to hold them accountable, each and every month.
