Brewery Opening to Public ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - The Genesee Brewing Company - formerly High Falls Brewing Company - is preparing to open its doors to the public beginning early next year.

Richard Lozyniak is CEO of Genesee's parent company, North American Breweries. Lozyniak says officials are planning to build a pub inside the brewery on St. Paul Street, and conduct tours. To get ready, employees have spent the last six months sprucing up the place.

It's a bit of a challenge from a lot of breweries. A lot of breweries people go through on tours right now are brand new, 10 or 20 years old. We've got a 140-year old facility and it was not laid out in a way that makes a tour necessarily easy," said Lozyniak during an interview on WXXI's Need to Know program.
