Paychex CEO Tells Shareholders He's Extremely Optimistic About the Future
Paychex held its annual stockholders' meeting at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. According to Judge, it's an understatement to call the past year one of the toughest ever faced by the company. But Judge thinks Paychex performed well under the circumstances.
Judge says Paychex did relatively well the last fiscal year because it's a financially conservative company with a client-base that's large and loyal.
Paychex experienced 18 straight years of record growth in revenue from 1991 through 2008. Last year, total revenue grew one percent. Net income, however, did drop eight percent.
Judge believes the economy is turning around--the only question is how long it will take to climb out from the impact of the recession.
Paychex is a payroll and human resource provider.
