JP Morgan Chase Adding Jobs
(2009-05-27)
(WXXI) - JP Morgan Chase is hiring 250 more people to work in Chase Tower in downtown Rochester. A spokesperson says these will all be full-time permanent positions. New employees will help customers nationwide who are having trouble paying their loans, and will assist in restructuring mortgages.

The financial company is looking for loan specialists, underwriters, and other processing personnel. The hiring is expected to take place over the next month, bringing JP Morgan Chase's local employment level to about one-thousand people.

A bank spokesperson says these jobs were planned in October, and are not related to the federal bailout money received by the company that month. JP Morgan Chase received a 25-billion dollar loan from the Troubled Assets Relief Program
