Mayor Reshuffles Leadership Deck
Duffy says the move is a formality, and nothing more.
"We really have to have a sense of urgency as we go into the second term. There's so much work to be done. A lot of things have been accomplished but [there's] much more work to do. And I think this gives us a chance to really look at ourselves inside and I think in the end our team will be much stronger and our service will be stronger."
Duffy says the resignations are a way to evaluate and scrutinize what the city's doing, and he stresses that the public shouldn't read more into his decision.
Spokesman Gary Walker says staff understood that they'd signed on for a four year commitment and now that the mayor is heading into his second term - and those four years are up.
