(2005-02-01)
Listen Now:
VANCOUVER, WA
(KPLU) -
Parishioners, school students, and festival goers around the Northwest are being roused to their feet through song from six blind men. They're Liberian refugees who emerged from way and poverty in the African homeland by signing. They're still singing after receiving political asylum from the United States and settling in Vancouver, Washington. KPLU's Tom Banse has the profile. 4:27 + musicBlind Africans Sing to Survive
