Seligman Named to Kodak Board of Directors ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - The President of Rochester's number one employer is now a board member at the company that held that distinction for decades.

Eastman Kodak Company says Joel Seligman of the University of Rochester will join its board of directors on July 1. Kodak spokesman Gerard Meuchner says Seligman's appointment to the board stemmed, in part, from his strong academic background in securities law and corporate finance. Seligman has authored or co-authored 20 books and over 40 articles on legal issues related to securities and corporations.

Meuchner also says adding Seligman to the board continues Kodak's efforts to be "good neighbors" with the U of R.

Seligman became the 10th president at the U of R back in December, 2004, and along with Kodak CEO Antonio Perez, he's the only board member for the firm who actually lives in Rochester.

Seligman will receive a retainer of about $70,000 a year, along with a package of stock in compensation for his service on the board.
