Democratic Leader Calls for Ethics Committee Chairman's Resignation over Robutrad Scandal
Ethics Chairman Frank Allkofer has admitted that Robutrad workers did work at his home. Robutrad was a company set up to provide union labor for county projects. County Construction Supervisor Robert Morone is alleged to have hired Robutrad workers for private and no-show jobs.
Bronson says that Allkofer--as Ethics Chairman--is a watchdog who's supposed to make sure county tax dollars are used appropriately. Bronson says it's important to have the appearance of being trustworthy.
Bronson says there are many unanswered questions regarding Allkofer's involvement in the scandal.
