Second Finalist for President Visits MCC Community
Dr. Gordon May is currently President and CEO of one of the five campuses that make up Oakland Community College in Waterford, Michigan.
May took part in open forums with students, faculty and staff at MCC Wednesday and met with the media.
He says MCC is characterized by quality, innovation and fiscal stability. He says the college is obviously well-run and well-respected, having had only four presidents since being established in 1961.
May has been in his current position for nearly nine years. He earned his PhD from Wayne State University in 2005, having majored in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
The first finalist, Dr. Kevin Drumm, was on campus this past Monday. The third and final candidate, Dr. Anne Kress, comes to MCC Thursday.
