Tippecanoe Co. passes on four day work week LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The concept of a four-day work week is not taking hold in Tippecanoe County.

Commissioners decided Monday morning there was not enough information to move forward with the proposal.

President Ruth Shedd says employee opinions are split on the idea of working four ten-hour days each week.

She says many people like the idea of saving on gas money, but others are concerned about finding daycare for the extended hours.

Commissioner John Knochel says he supports the concept, but thinks more information is needed before making a final decision.

But Commissioner KD Benson says she does not support the proposal. She thinks county offices should be open five days a week. © Copyright 2012, wbaa
