Lineup Announced for Rochester Jazz Festival
Frank Sinatra, Jr., Dee Dee Bridgewater, Boz Scaggs and Al Green headline this year's event.
Producer and Artistic Director John Nugent says other than adding more concerts and a new venue this year -- Christ Church on East Avenue -- they've stuck with what's worked in the past.
Music fans will be able to visit a number of venues to hear a diverse lineup of musical talent. That includes 59 free concerts on three outdoor stages.
Tickets go on sale Friday for the headliner shows. Club Passes for the Rochester International Jazz Festival are on sale now, but Nugent says they're going quickly.
The jazz festival runs June 13th through the 21st.
WXXI TV will record three concerts at Kilbourn Hall this year in high definition. The concerts will be broadcast around the country later this year.
