On Record - Julie Albers and Daniel Hege
Cellist Julie Albers and conductor Daniel Hege unveiled 2 works with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra that have never been played in the Eastman Theater before.

Cellist Julie Albers and conductor Daniel Hege unveiled 2 works with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra that have never been played in the Eastman Theater before: Mosaics by Howard Hanson and Samuel Barber's Cello Concerto. Julia chatted with Ms. Albers and Mr Hege, as they delved into the mystery of why the concerto is, sadly, rarely played, and the pleasures of bringing the work to light. Along the way, they talked about what makes the RPO special, how to interpret instruction when you don't speak the language, and the family dynamics inside the Albers Trio.
