Franz Lehar's The Merry Widow is one of the most beloved and performed operas in the world. But the show almost didn't open. so how did it all happen. Director Steven Daigle and Music Director Benton Hess from the Eastman School of Music gave us the history--happy ending included--just before their production opened in the Eastman Theatre.
