Marjorie Relin's joy in the oboe WXXI
Marjorie Relin talks oboe. When Marjorie Relin picked up the oboe, she was two years away from retirement. Like many adult musicians, she's discovered a creative outlet that makes her happy. Her sense of accomplishment keeps her motivated, and playing with the New Horizons Orchestra has become an important part of her life. In this podcast from WXXI, she tells Classical 91.5's Brenda Tremblay the story of what happened when she was recently faced with the possibility she wouldn't be able to play again.
