Today's Geo Quiz is about geographic names that are no longer in use. There are plenty of geographic names in the dustbin of history. Here's a few --- Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Calcutta, Leopoldville, the USSR. The one we want you to place on a map is... Tanganyika. That name used to describe a territory bordering on the Indian Ocean. In the 1960's it became an independent nation. Then, the name vanished from the map! We'll get the story from an author who asks and answers our question in his book, "Whatever Happened to Tanganyika."
