On the next Backstage Pass, join host Julia Figueras as she welcomes Anthea Kreston, violin; Jason Duckles, cello; and Rieko Aizawa, piano – better known as the Amelia Piano Trio to the Henry Epstein Studio. Among the most exciting young chamber ensembles to appear in the last decade, the Amelia Piano Trio have quickly become one of the world's most sought-after ensembles. Called "remarkable" by Strings and "exemplary" by The Strad, in its short history the Amelia has been Grand Prize-winner at the Yellow Springs National Competition and recipient of the prestigious ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming.
Backstage Pass, a live radio program broadcast from WXXI's Studio E, is dedicated to spotlighting the arts in Rochester and is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation.
