Learn how to successfully start and sustain a school garden! Come to Treehaven, where professional gardeners and garden educators from across Wisconsin will offer hands-on instruction on a variety of topics, including kid-friendly gardening activities, seed saving, ideas for extending the growing season, and how to work with school cafeterias to set up composting and food tasting programs. Participants will have ample time to network with others and will leave with a copy of Got Dirt? and Got Veggies? curriculum and resource guides. Plus - enjoy delicious food, hiking campfires, frisbee golf and more! FIRST 20 PEOPLE TO SIGN UP WILL RECEIVE $50 OFF (thanks to special funding provided by Green & Healthy Schools Wisconsin). Symposium presenters are from the following organizations: Wisconsin School Garden Initiative, UW-Extension, Many Ways of Peace, UW-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources and Northland Pines School District.
