“This is a great way to kick off the New Year, enjoy a great winter activity, and this year we have so much more snow!” says race planner Mary Lucas.
The Snowshoe Hare race helps to raise money that stays in the local Rhinelander community going toward trail maintenance and cross-country ski trail grooming. Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association is a nonprofit group that promotes the responsible use of lands open to the public for the enjoyment of all. The race is possible in part due to generous local sponsors.
