Fox Valley Ghost Hunters will be the next guests of the Boulder Junction Public Libraryís Neighbor to Neighbor program series on Thursday, October 17, 7:00 pm, in the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Fox Valley Ghost Hunters is a professional paranormal research team based out of the Fox Cities that that was established to help residents of Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan understand paranormal activity in their homes or places of business. The team was founded by Craig Nehring, a Minocqua native and Lakeland Union High School graduate. Nehringís interest in the paranormal began when he was in high school and visited Summerwind.
The presentation will focus on how Nehring created Fox Valley Ghost Hunters and how each investigator on the team got involved. They will bring the equipment they use on investigations and explain how they use the latest technology. They will also discuss the dangers of doing your own investigations.
Fox Valley Ghost Hunters is close friends with the owners of the Summerwind property and have been investigating there since 2010. The team will highlight their findings from Summerwind, including electronic voice phenomenon, known as EVP, which canít be heard by the human ear. They will also discuss the Stevenson Chimney and other places of paranormal events.
Immediately following the library presentation, Fox Valley Ghost Hunters will be leading an outing to Summerwind. The owners of Summerwind have given exclusive rights for guests to attend this tour of their private property. Fox Valley Ghost Hunters will tell stories about Summerwind that have never been told before, while guests enjoy a campfire and marshmallows. The library is not sponsoring the Summerwind outing and participation will be supervised by Fox Valley Ghost Hunters. Children must be 13 years or older and have parental supervision. All participants in the Summerwind tour must sign a waiver and there is a fee of $15 per person.
