Halloween is just around the corner! Nancy Miller, of Burnsville, Virginia, shares some tasty chocolate treats. Featured on Let's Dish October 21, 2009. Peanut Haystacks

1 teaspoon creamy peanut butter
1 - 6 oz. package butterscotch morsels
1 – 3 oz. can chow mein noodles
1 cup roasted peanuts.

Melt peanut butter and butterscotch morsels together in a saucepan over low heat. Add noodles and peanuts. Mix until well coated. Form little clusters on foil. Set in refrigerator to harden. Makes about 24 haystacks.

A variation on this is Chocolate Spiders:

1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate morsels
1 – 5 oz. can chow mein noodles
1 cup salted peanuts

Melt chocolate morsels over low heat. Add noodles and peanuts, stirring well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Refrigerate at least 8 hours. Keep chilled until ready to serve. Makes about 3 dozen spiders.
