Festive Cranberry Salad
Just in time for the holidays, AMR's own Carson Ralston adds some fruit to the table. Featured on Let's Dish November 25. Ingredients:
1 Bag Of Cranberries
2 Cups of Sugar (or substitute)
1 Cup of Water
1 3oz. Package Strawberry Gelatin
1 15 oz. Can Crushed Pineapple
1 11 oz. Can Mandarin Oranges
1 Cup of Chopped Celery
3/4 Cup of Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans etc.)

Preparation:
Dissolve sugar in a cup of water until boiling. Add cranberries and reduce heat to gently boiling for 10 minutes.

Prepare Strawberry gelatin according to package instructions. Caution: Do not add the additional cup of water called for after dissolving the gelatin.

Combine the cranberry and gelatin mixtures and place in refrigerator to partially congeal for approximately 1 ˝ hours.

Add the remaining ingredients: well drained crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges (usually cut in pieces), chopped celery and nuts. Mix well and replace in refrigerator until completely congealed.

Substitute or add personal choices of fruit as desired to the cranberry and gelatin mixture.
Serve as is or with whipped cream.
