WVIA's State of Pennsylvania Presents NEPA's Obese Children: What Can We Do?
(2009-11-06)
(wvia) - Childhood obesity has doubled for our youngsters and has tripled for children between ages 6 and 11. Correspondent Suzanne Kapral-Kelly discusses the local epidemic that's spiraling out of control on the next State of Pennsylvania this Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

Today, more than one-third of Pennsylvania's school age children are overweight, even obese. Who and what is making our kids overweight? Should parents be held responsible? How can we help them?

Joining Correspondent Suzanne Kapral-Kelly in the Sordoni Theater at WVIA will be Dr. Joe Leonardi from Leonardi Family Chiropractic, an Adjunct Faculty at Luzerne County Community College and owner of Yournewphysique.com and Joy de Soto, MA, Human Nutrition & Exercise Physiology and owner of Visions Personal Fitness Training, visionspersonalfitness.com.
