WVIA Presents Luzerne County's New Start: The Judicial Debate
The three candidates participating in the debate are Judge William Amesbury, a Democrat from Wilkes-Barre; Attorney Tina Polacheck Gartley, a Democrat from Wilkes-Barre; and Attorney Richard Hughes, a Republican from Mountain Top.
The moderator of the debate will be Dr. Robert Dillman, president of East Stroudsburg University and a trustee of WVIA.
The debate panel includes Lynn Marks, Executive Director of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts located in Philadelphia; Loren D. Prescott, Jr. , Dean of the Law School Planning Initiative at Wilkes University; and Pat McKenna, Associate Editor-Times-Tribune.
The debate will re-broadcast on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 12 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

The WVIA Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judicial debate sponsored by The Northeast Pennsylvania's College and University Presidents will broadcast live from the WVIA High Definition Theater Studio Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. on WVIA-TV, WVIA-FM 89.9 FM and 89.7 FM in Williamsport.The three candidates participating in the debate are Judge William Amesbury, a Democrat from Wilkes-Barre; Attorney Tina Polacheck Gartley, a Democrat from Wilkes-Barre; and Attorney Richard Hughes, a Republican from Mountain Top.
