Starting Over: The C.A.R.E. Program is the topic on the next State of Pennsylvania April 17 on WVIA-TV
(2014-04-10)
(wvia) - Without the C.A.R.E. program, the transition to life outside of prison for those who have served time is not easy and sometimes they end up back behind bars. On Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. during the next all-new State of Pennsylvania on WVIA-TV we'll talk about how the C.A.R.E. Program helps individuals get a second chance. Plus, we'll feature a film produced by Bucknell University about this innovative team approach that combines education with mentorship.

Joining host Larry Vojtko on our panel will be Eric S. Faden, associate professor of English and Film/Media Studies at Bucknell University, Brianna Derr, a student at Bucknell University and Eric Noll, a federal corrections officer.

Encore presentations of this episode of State of Pennsylvania can be seen Friday, April 18, 2014 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 20 at 1 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

This program will also be available on demand at http://on-demand.wvia.org/program/state-pennsylvania/.
