Montoursville, PA to be Focus of WVIA's "Our Town" Documentary Series-Volunteer Videographers/Storytellers Needed

WVIA encourages all Montoursville, PA residents to attend the first “Our Town Montoursville” documentary community/volunteer meeting, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Montoursville Borough Building Main Hall.
(wvia) - Montoursville, Pennsylvania will be featured in WVIA's "Our Town" documentary series. "Our Town Montoursville" will be a "day-in-the-life" one-hour video scrapbook focusing on the people, places and happenings of Montoursville, PA., as seen through the eyes of its residents.

All Montoursville residents are encouraged to attend the first "Our Town Montoursville" community/volunteer meeting, Thursday, March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Montoursville Borough Building Main Hall located at 617 North Loyalsock Avenue.

During the meeting residents of Montoursville will discuss which landmarks, events and local stories the program should tell about their town. WVIA will answer questions about the project during the meeting and ask volunteers to brainstorm a list of subjects and events to videotape.

"Our Town Montoursville" will debut on June 18, 2014 on WVIA-TV.

As northeastern Pennsylvania's and the central Susquehanna Valley's public television station serving a very large geographic area, the "Our Town" project was initiated in an effort to involve the communities and their residents with WVIA. The "Our Town" documentary series is intended to treat viewers to the many personalities, perspectives, and possibilities that local towns have to offer.
