The Oak Creek Band and Lorne Clarke Perform January 13 during Live Homegrown Music Concert on WVIA-FM - Public Invited
(wvia) - WVIA-FM presents The Oak Creek Band and Lorne Clarke on the next live broadcast of WVIA's Homegrown Music Concert on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. from the Sordoni High-Definition Theater located in the WVIA Studios in Pittston, PA. This concert will also be taped for a television broadcast on WVIA-TV later in this year. Reserve your free seats for the 2-hour live concert-broadcast in the Sordoni High-Definition Theater by calling 570-655-2808 or by visiting

The Oak Creek Band is co-led by Jenna and Daniel Watters. The band toured extensively in the Southwest in 2011 and 2012. Earlier this year, the Watterses and bassist Steve Rogers moved to Nashville and began work on what would become their new CD XI. The Oak Creek Band's name seems rather generic, perhaps like a local rock group. But the ensemble led by Jenna and Daniel embodies an attractive stylistic mix of rock influence, very good songwriting with some folk ingredients, and first-rate vocals and harmonies.

Canada's Lorne Clarke has been performing at festivals, clubs, house concerts and theatres across Canada and the United States. A powerful singer and gifted songwriter, he cut his teeth as a performing artist in the busy Toronto folk scene in the early 1970's - branching out into Bluegrass in the mid 1980's. In 1994 Clarke returned to the solo acoustic folk scene with a series of critically acclaimed performances on US Public Radio and TV.
