WVIA takes Viewers to Grey Towers as it Commemorates 50 years since its Dedication by President Kennedy

(wvia) - Before the events to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Grey Towers' dedication begin on September 19, WVIA brings together 2 special guests whose families go back to the start of this amazing site. Watch the season premiere of State of Pennsylvania on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

Fifty years ago President John F. Kennedy came to Milford, Pennsylvania where the family of Pennsylvania Governor Gifford Pinchot had donated their Grey Towers estate as a public asset for conservation of natural resources and to be the home of the Pinchot Institute for Conservation.

Fifty years later Gifford Pinchot's grandson, Peter Pinchot and family friend Theodore Roosevelt, IV, the great grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt join WVIA's Bill Kelly for a special presentation of State of Pennsylvania.

Following the conclusion of this episode of State of Pennsylvania at 8 p.m. watch the WVIA Original Documentary Film, "Seeking the Greatest Good - The Conservation Legacy of Gifford Pinchot" on WVIA TV.

Encore presentations of the season premiere of State of Pennsylvania can be seen Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. on WVIA-TV.
