NEPA Did It - Doctors Are Born on the next all-new State of Pennsylvania on WVIA TV
(wvia) - Join us for a special all-new State of Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. on WVIA-TV from The Commonwealth Medical College Auditorium as we introduce you to the first graduating class of doctors from The Commonwealth Medical College.

The cynics have been proven wrong. They said the new Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton would never graduate a doctor.

It hasn't been easy for northeast Pennsylvania to birth a medical school, but a handful of heroic folks gave four years of hard work, time and treasure to make it happen.

Joining WVIA President Bill Kelly to talk about TCMC's first doctors of medicine are Steven J. Scheinman, M.D, dean, The Commonwealth Medical College, Charles Karcutskie from West Wyoming and a graduating student at TCMC South Campus (Wilkes Barre), Sara Roper from Beaver, PA and a graduating student at TCMC West Campus (Williamsport), and Radhika Patnam from Uniontown, PA and a graduating student at TCMC North Campus (Scranton).

Encore presentations of this episode of State of Pennsylvania can be seen Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

This program will also be available on demand at
