Bella Ruse and Tora Perform during the next Live Homegrown Music Concert on WVIA-FM
(wvia) - WVIA-FM presents Bella Ruse and Tora on the next live broadcast of WVIA's Homegrown Music Concert on Monday, April 15 at 8 p.m. from the Sordoni High-Definition Theater located in the WVIA Studios in Pittston, PA.

Reserve your free seats for the live concert-broadcast with performances by Bella Ruse and Tora in the Sordoni High-Definition Theater at the WVIA Studios by calling 570-655-2808 or by visiting http://www.wvia.org/hi-deftheaterentry.

Bella Ruse's combination of airy folk and crunchy pop transforms rooms into secret gardens and paints pictures of invading bombardiers, salty sea love, and super glued hearts. Surrounded by a laboratory of instruments - typewriter, suitcase organ, glockenspiel, and kazoos - singer Kay Gillette's antique voice and Joseph Barker's mournful guitar twist and twirl and dip and dive and carry you deep down the rabbit-hole into their magical musical world. Their songs have been heard on MTV and Showtime and their most recent album, KUHZOO, spent eight weeks on the CMJ Radio Top 200. They were the Needle in the Haystack artist on MTVmusic.com and Performer Magazine calls Gillette's voice truly unique.'

With a powerful voice and edgy, eclectic style that bring to mind a combination of Tori Amos, Adele, Ann Wilson and Chrissie Hynde, twenty-two year old Tora Fisher is a musical force to be reckoned with. As the daughter of Broadway producers, Fisher spent her early years surrounded by music and the arts, her days filled with singing and dance lessons. Tora's hard work landed her a coveted spot at the internationally renowned Interlochen Academy for the Arts' summer session, several years in a row. She thrived in the creative environment and a young artist was blooming. She's performed aboard the USS Intrepid, had shows in New York and her first single, "Man of Steel," benefited veterans and their families (philanthropy being another of Tora's passions).
