Balance and Dizziness to be Discussed on the next live Call the Doctor on WVIA PITTSTON, PA (wvia) - Did you know 42% of Americans will seek medical help for balance and dizziness at some point in their lives? Balance and Dizziness are the topics of discussion on the next live Call the Doctor on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. on WVIA TV.

A person may experience dizziness for many reasons. Dizziness can be light-headedness or the feeling like you might faint or vertigo, the feeling that you are spinning or moving. The brain coordinates information from the eyes, the inner ear, and the body's senses to maintain balance. If any of these information sources is disrupted, the brain may not be able to compensate.

Joining Moderator George Thomas are Jorge Gonzalez from Bloomsburg University, Dr. Marcus Myers, O.D., Jeff Walter PT, DPT, NCS, Director of the Otolaryngology Vestibular and Balance Center at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, which is part of Geisinger Health System, and Sondra Morgan, PT MHA at Allied Services.
