Subtle Suicide: Could It be You? on the next Call the Doctor on WVIA
When people participate in self-destructive behaviors, while not wanting to take their own lives, but not caring if they live or die, they suffer from Subtle Suicide. These behaviors not only affect the person participating in them, but also the people around them, loved ones and friends. How do doctors help those living recklessly through addiction and dangerous behavior? Why don't these people care if they live or die?
Joining George Thomas to talk about this issue will be Dr. Michael Church, associate professor of Psychology at King's College and co-author of the book titled, "Subtle Suicide, Our Silent Epidemic of Ambivalence About Living", Richard Fischbein, M.D., psychiatrist, Wilkes-Barre, and Rev. Robert Zanicki, First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Viewers may call in questions during the live show at 1-800-326-9842 or visit WVIA.org during the show to submit their questions online.
