Department Director Curt Jibbon says the department decided to combine the two projects as a way of saving money.
He says they set up at the high school and immunized 240 people within three hours.
He says almost half of them were vaccinated within the first hour.
The emergency drill is a state requirement. He says the department should be able to administer medication to a county's population within 48 hours in case of a pandemic outbreak or other emergency.
More information:
Jibbon says it took an average of about four and a half minutes per person for paperwork and the injection.
The drill was set up at Havana high school and involved volunteers from police, fire and emergency services units.
