Possible limit changes for child sex assault cases
(2007-11-29)
MILWAUKEE, WI
(wuwm) -
Two state lawmakers have unveiled a proposal to lift the statute of limitations for civil cases, by people who were sexually abused as children. Under current state law, plaintiffs must sue within 35 years of when they were abused. The National Association to Prevent Sexual Abuse of Children applauds the bill. The Wisconsin Catholic Conference opposes it. Ann-Elise Henzl reports.
