MPS calls for new school funding system MILWAUKEE (wuwm) - A state Senate committee heard testimony Thursday on legislation that would change the way public schools in Wisconsin are funded. Many school districts say the current funding formula is deeply flawed, and shortchanges districts that have a higher cost of education. That's the case in Milwaukee, according to Peter Blewett, president of the MPS board of directors. He spoke with WUWM's Erin Toner.
