MILWAUKEE, WI
(wuwm) -
A Milwaukee Common Council committee has been considering budget amendments today. Alderman Mike McGee Jr. has proposed changes in absentia, as he's in prison awaiting trials on charges of vote-buying and bribery. He therefore needs fellow council members to offer his amendments, but so far today, that hasn't happened. City Clerk Ron Leonard, who's helping supervise McGee's staff, told WUWM's Marge Pitrof that the alderman's aide has been handling the routine office business.© Copyright 2009, wuwm
